This monthly box keeps getting better for me. You don’t fill out any sort of questionnaire to tell them what sort of supplies they send you but it feels like they do. This month they added the retail/value price  to the menu. The total of the box this month was about $5 dollars more than you pay for a monthly box. Pretty cool.

• Denik Mini Sketchbook The sketchbooks have a neat story behind them but we are talking about whether or not I like the book itself. When they say mini they mean mini. It’s smaller than even the tiny Moleskins I use in a crunch. For that reason I will probably use it more for note taking or mileage than actual sketching. But I do love the cover design, it incorporates doughnuts and hand lettering it’s right up my alley. So far it feels sturdy enough to be thrown in a purse and not get smushed up. Would I purchase again? Not this size but I would definitely consider buying a bigger size from them.
• Simply Simmons Paintbrush I have been in need of higher quality paint brushes (mine come from kids art sets, embarrassing). This fills that need and is easy to clean. Would I purchase this again? I like this brush so far so I would be inclined to pick up another, so maybe.
• Daler-Rowney FW Acrylic Ink This is where it feels like a custom put together box. Once again I got a bright green and it almost glows in the dark. While there may not be a lot of practical uses for this color I really like it and have been using it on personal projects. Would I purchase again? Probably, I like how this paint can be layered to create a darker color so more hues to work with would be nice.
• ZIG Cartoonist Brush Pen No. 22 So excited about this pen! It’s not as easy to control as a felt tip brush pen but the results are more fun. It took awhile for the ink to come out consistently so you can in the picture where it hadn’t started working to it’s full potential yet. I also think it may last longer than felt tip which some of mine are already losing their tip shape. It’s texture actually looks “brushy” and I think its just beautiful. Would I purchase again? Yep!
