It’s getting closer to fall. I love fall particularly because I think the clothes are more flattering for my body type. I haven’t started decorating yet. It is still quite warm here and I would like the weather to match the decor. But football is on and that makes it the tradition a little easier.
I can’t believe I somewhat consider myself a football fan now. My family was never football people but thanks to my husband we now all watch the Texas A&M and proudly wear the shirts on game day. Personally and overall I still prefer watching the game on the TV because A) I hate crowds B) Those computer generated lines they put on the field help me out a lot.
But I still like getting to a game or two every season because Aggies have amazing school spirit and fun traditions.
We went to the first game of the season a few weeks ago at Columbia. Aggies won and it wasn’t too hot so it was worth the quick trip and being exhausted the next day.
For the games spent indoors. I am all about the food table. and football party food is always fun because it is usually easy to eat while standing and comes with dipping sauces. One of my favorites is meatballs from crockpot because they are simple (potentially three ingredients) and worry free.
Ingredients
1 bag frozen meatballs
equal parts (usually 16-20 oz)
-bbq sauce
-grape jelly
Optional
Worcestershire Sauce
Garlic salt
Put all ingredients in crock pot and make sure meatballs are coated. Cook on low for 3-4 hours or until meat balls are cooked all the way through. Serve with slider buns and cheese or just stick toothpicks in them and call it a day 🙂
