Grovetown

Summer is done. But for the first time I don’t care. I love my new school and learning about things I actually care about and plan to apply to a future job.
It’s reaching that crazy busy point in the year. Already every weekend the next two months has something going on and many of them have two or three things.

My church has recently announced plans to plant another church in nearby Grovetown. I probably won’t attend this church largely because of the girls that I teach on Sunday but you never know and I definitely plan to visit when it gets started.

I am proud of the church body that I get to serve in for many reasons but this year I have been personally challenged by 1 Corinthians 9:19-23

19 Though I am free and belong to no one, I have made myself a slave to everyone, to win as many as possible. 20 To the Jews I became like a Jew, to win the Jews. To those under the law I became like one under the law (though I myself am not under the law), so as to win those under the law. 21 To those not having the law I became like one not having the law (though I am not free from God’s law but am under Christ’s law), so as to win those not having the law. 22 To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all people so that by all possible means I might save some. 23 I do all this for the sake of the gospel, that I may share in its blessings.

ALL THINGS TO ALL PEOPLE THAT I MIGHT SAVE SOME

Sometimes to achieve that we have to some where we aren’t comfortable or that will be a great cost to us. Sometimes people tell you its a bad idea or try to talk you out of it but you need to decide if sharing in the blessings of the gospel is on your agenda.

So I am glad God planted this idea in the hearts of the leaders of our church and I am ecstatic we have not fought it and continued to follow it.

All that being said this shoot was done only a few minutes from where the new church will be. It was a neat feeling to be so close to the expansion with girls I get to serve with at our first campus. A kinda of meeting of two worlds.

Katie is one of my photog friends and I consider it a huge compliment whenever she asks me to photograph for her. This was the largest portrait group I have ever shot which provided a new challenge but I loved the outcome.
