I am learning to accept that photodumps are simply a sign I have been having lots of things to do (That’s what I am telling myself to ease the shame)
Here’s Tyler and I canoeing a few weeks ago. Note the nasty knee, which had now heeled into a scar that I proud of 🙂
Kingdom Project. AH I wanna go back so bad! Even though it was just down the road because the youth opted to stay in Augusta, my mindset about my city was forever changed. Rather than send off into other countries (which is awesome in its self) they choose to show the world around us that there is still work to be done here. My eyes were opened. I knew we had people without homes who lived under bridges and people without families to talk to but I didn’t know their named was Mary and they liked to read and was trained as nurse or their name was Calvin and carried a worn Bible with him everywhere and when a few highschoolers sat at his feet he had years of wisdom to share. I was one of the small group leaders for the social group. We went to the Master’s table and Harvest Food Bank. My group of teenagers completely blew my mind with there willingness to work and love on people. I am humbled and honored to hang out with kids that that serve the Lord no questions asked.
So because of their hard work, I couldn’t even think about complaining when they all just laid down on the last day. They deserved it.
Got some fishing done 🙂 Gonna need to do a Bucket list post soon
And this past Saturday we had Kayla’s surprise party. I think we really surprised her which was an accomplishment for all of us. I took video during the actually “surprise” part so I will have to get those pictures from Tyler but I saw them on his computer and they are precious to see her face.
It was a Luau theme |
