I am at an odd point of work this week. The next three weeks will be really busy. I have a few “big” design projects that I am really excited about I just need to finalize some details before I share them. So these few days of a lull is a great time to share things people may not know about me.

1. My ears aren’t pierced. I don’t have a great reason why, it just never happened and I pretty consistently get a least one set of earrings a year. I just give them to Goodwill…
2. I am not super into music but I love music videos. I have no interest in editing video but doing the lighting for them is a dream job of mine.
3. When I met my husband I showed him a picture of my cat with a bird she caught in her mouth. I am not embarrassed by that. I had to drive him somewhere about an hour later and I had a Jonas Brothers CD in my car. I am a little embarrassed by that.
4. Speaking of marriage my mom once told me she wouldn’t be surprised if I never got married because I “do so well alone”.  Basically, she considered sending me to school with a “Doesn’t play well with others,” shirt on. But I love being married, and what I am most surprised by as well, I don’t get tired of hanging out with him.
5. I am scared of flying but I am working on it.
6. As a kid I had lots of gerbils/mice because my sister had snakes (yep, my sister tricked me into raising her pet’s food). I had about four generations going before one bit me and I had my dad take them all to the pet store. I haven’t wanted another pet of my own since.
7. I love old cars, like Model A and T’s. My dream is too have a lot of land and and old car to drive around on it.
8. I don’t like stressful or dramatic T.V. shows. If a show has any amount of “drama” to it, the Texan has to wait till I am not around to watch them.
9. Speaking of T.V. shows. I would love to call my personality Jessica Day but if I am honest, it’s Nick Miller, with the quirks of Leslie Knope and the habits of Liz Lemon. If you get any of these references we can watch these shows together.
10. I am retracting my statement about not wanting pets. I would accept a mini pony, a hedgehog, or a cat that acts just like the cat who still lives at my parents house. Or a pug. But then I will also need to hire someone to run his hilarious Instagram account.
