Heather and Thomas are one of those couples I never saw coming. She and I had been good friends since high school. She was in theater and and musicals are a key to happiness for me so I was only too excited to have a friend who regularly took to the stage for me to cheer on. Off the stage she was constantly singing, speaking in accents, or wanting everything to be a game. He was in a with me lab group in college, he was smart, funny, but pretty quiet.

One day she called me (or texted, I can’t quite remember) and said they had eloped.

I know way more went into then that but I swear that what the chain of events felt like! When she called again saying she pregnant and going to be in town for a shower and wanted to know if I would be available for maternity pictures. The brought along their first baby Mocha and her wedding dress that it turns out works perfectly with a bump.
