Easter Trip | Texas

Well Easter was quite awhile ago but here I am just now editing my photos from it 🙂

We went to Texas to spend the holiday with Tyler’s family. It can be summed up by saying we ate and drove our way through Texas but I have remind myself we saw just a small part of Texas because that place is just huge. We pulled off see some small churches and it was fun to practice for the picture taking that would happen in Rome.

I am not a huge beef fan but that always changes in Texas and we lived off of burgers and brisket this week but my food highlights this trip were the desserts. The last time we stopped in Waco the bakery at the Silos wasn’t open but this time it was! The cupcakes delicious and even though the line was long, their system to get you through is quite efficient.

Last summer I read an article in Southern Living about macaron ice cream sandwiches in Dallas. So before this trip I googled and found Joy Macarons. My family was good sport about it and we went almost an hour out of the way and found them 🙂 They were worth it, I got the cereal milk flavor and it tasted like fruit loop milk  (which was awesome.)

I think what is fun about Texas for us is it has the memories of Tyler’s childhood so their plenty of sentimental places to visit but because of the massiveness of it and unending things to do and my internet scoring finds new things, we get to have the perfect combination of trip experiences.

We are hopefully going back last this year!

These photos are beautiful! Especially the church pics!! I want to go on a family trip with the J’s to Texas! My favorite family trips when I was a kid were two trips to Texas and I have always wanted to go back!
